Brumby mare and foal, January 2012

Brumby mare and foal, January 2012, in our house paddock.

Thank-you so much for your donation to our work and vision.  All  donations go to The Billie Dean International Deep Peace Organisation, a not -for -profit dedicated to fostering global peace for animals through the arts, education and compassionate action.

We are currently raising urgent funds for our intended PEACE farm sanctuary and the sheep and cattle who reside there, plus the North Kossi Brumby Appeal for transport and hay, plus of course, we have to keep our own Place of Peace going.

Please let us know how you want to direct your donations so that we know your heart and desire and intention.  THANK YOU!!

PS By supporting our new PEACE farm sanctuary with its proposed PEACE Education Retreat Centre, you are supporting an  enlightened blueprint for a new paradigm of living in harmony and gentleness with animals and nature.  THANK YOU for supporting our vision and creating change in the world.  You have made a difference!!!!

A Place of Peace, is our current forever home sanctuary for previously homeless animals including more than 40 horses (28 of them wild brumbies) who run free here.   We are very very grateful for your support, and the animals say a huge “thank-you”.   Under current tax laws, forever home animals  do not fall under a tax benefit scheme, so your donations are not tax deductible.  However, we are committed to these animals and our work, and we really appreciate your support.

How Donations Help A Place of Peace

In the first instance we are raising urgent funds to secure land next door to expand our sanctuary to include sheep and cattle in a forever home situation.

We estimate $3 million for the whole vision, including Educational Centre,  and $150,000 to secure the land immediately.  $110 buys a sheep, and $650 buys a steer or heifer.  You can contribute to  a kinder, gentler world by supporting our vision in whatever way you can.  We are also welcoming  interest-free loans.

Some of the ways your donations help A Place of Peace:

  • $2 feeds a horse a biscuit of hay.
  • $5 buys a day’s supplements for high-need ponies and dogs.
  • $15 goes towards supplements for seniors in need.
  • $45 pays for a horse’s hoof trim.
  • $50 is 5/8 of the cost of an annual dental treatment for a horse.
  • $50 is 2/3 the cost of a 500 ml bottle of herbal worming, used for both dogs and horses.
  • $100 is roughly the full cost of caring for a horse per month (averaged over a year)

We are grateful for your help and support as we provide a forever home for these animals.

Using Your Bank’s Online Software

In Australia, if you have online access to your bank account, then you can set up a recurring payment using the online software your bank provides. This is really the best way to go, as it involves the least hassle and the fewest fees (especially when compared to Paypal and Paymate). Simply make a payment to the Sanctuary’s account (contact me for the details), and set it to recur. We can talk you through it on the phone, if you need a hand.

Donate Using Paypal

Use this button to make a single donation of any amount.

Or, use the buttons below to set up a recurring payment with PayPal:

Monthly

When you click one of the buttons, you’ll go to a secure Paypal screen that looks something like this:

Paymate

Alternatively, you can use the Paymate Express Payment button below.  We provide this option, because some people prefer not to use Paypal.  It is a safe alternative, but has the disadvantage of charging more in fees.

Pay with Paymate Express

If you click the above button, you go to a screen that looks something like this:

Paymate Screen for Donations

Here are the steps for using Paymate:

  1. Click the Paymate button above to go to the Paymate Express Payment screen.

  2. In the Your Details section, enter your email, name and address as requested.  If you are a registered Paymate user, you can tick the box and have it use your stored details.
  3. In the Payment Method section, enter your credit card details.
  4. In the Payment Details section, enter the amount you want to donate.  If you wish to change the currency, you can, but it is probably better to leave it AUD for Australian dollars.
  5. Below the amount, there is Payment Frequency. If you want this to be a one-off, payment, leave it as One-Off Payment.  If you want to donate regularly, choose Recurring Payment Reminder.  If you choose the latter, Paymate will send you a reminder email at the frequency you specify.  Note that they do not automatically process recurring payments.  Instead, you have to enter your details and approve the transaction each time (your bank or Paypal, on the other hand, will do it automatically for you).
  6. Tick the box in the Terms and Conditions section.
  7. Click Submit Payment.

Many, many thanks for your support!
